
Felipe Faraco
Felipe Faraco works with "pure" art and also applied to the context of communication. Over the last ten years he has produced material that covers the fields of popular, classical and avant-garde music. In his career as a backing musician, acting as a multi-instrumentalist, he has played in the bands of China (Bandeirantes, MTV, Sheik Tosado), Siba Veloso (Mestre Ambrósio), Júpiter Maçã, Di Melo, Lobão, SNJ, Soledad Brandão, Gustavo Da Lua (Nação Zumbi), Jair Naves and Toni Ferreira, among others. As a sound technician/producer, he has worked with the following projects/artists: Amplifiquintas (São Paulo City Hall), Dona Olga, Bryson Cone, Selegatto, Átila Lopes, Eutanásia, Lecce, among others. As far as communication is concerned, his focus has been on sound branding for a number of years. He was part of the consultancy team for projects for Petrobras, Iguatemi/RS (Ancar chain), Vivo and Barra Shopping Sul. On the other hand, he also works in traditional audio production, creating jingles, spots and tracks for companies such as Converse, Braskem, RBS, among others. In the teaching field, he has over fifteen years' experience. Felipe has taught classes, workshops and seminars at music schools, for private students and at undergraduate level (he is currently a lecturer on the Music Production, Electronic Music Production, Advertising, Journalism and Cinema courses at Anhembi Morumbi University. In parallel to his professional life, he maintains a routine of academic improvement. In 2012, he obtained a Master's degree in Social Communication from PUCRS, defending a dissertation whose theme was linked to the study of Brazilian popular music and its relationship with the recording industry. In 2020, he defended his doctorate at USP, in which he focused on aspects of independent music production in the city of São Paulo.
