Caipira coffee
Sun or rain
Since April 2017, we have opened our backyard with a delicious breakfast at Jardim das Delícias.
No rush
Café Caipira is meant to be enjoyed leisurely. A day to meet up with friends, relax and socialize with different people. You can wander around the house, visit the current exhibition, get to know the project and enjoy the garden.
The food
They're all made at home with a lot of love by the sisters at @salehidden The recipes are those special ones, from grandma, that different people have shared and we've experimented with and transformed.
The breads and pastas are naturally leavened and made with organic flour.
The cheese bread is from Minas Gerais, with half-cured cheese.
Carrot cake from my mother's recipe with chocolate icing. Iced coconut cake is the kind we used to eat at birthday parties in the 90s wrapped in aluminum foil, you know?
Jelly with seasonal fruit and often from our incredible blackberry tree. Anyone who has been here knows how huge and juicy they are 🙂
The tea is also freshly picked from our garden.
And every month there are new additions to the menu, depending on the production of Jardim das Delícias and the seasonal ingredients.
Our House
The place where the Café takes place is the headquarters of Condô Cultural. Far from being a restaurant or bakery, it's a house: a warm and welcoming place full of mysteries and special corners.
We don't offer service. You arrive, choose what you want to eat at the counter, pay, choose your corner in the garden or inside the house and wait for your name to be called to collect your coffee. After eating, you return the dishes to the counter and can continue enjoying the garden and our space.
Program
In partnership with different artists, we eventually have music programs, workshops for children and adults and exhibitions. When we have the musical program, we suggest a contribution of R$ 13.00, but everyone decides how much they can contribute. The money raised goes directly to the artists and technical team.
Vila Anglo Brasileira
The neighborhood is residential and has a rural feel. We invite you to walk around and enjoy its cobbled streets, alleys and stairways. We are 1 km from the Vila Madalena metro station. Come by bike, apps... take the opportunity to leave your car in the garage that day.
Finance
The accounts are managed by Venda Escondida. The money raised pays for supplies, staff and the Association's contribution.
If any profit is made (the accounts are usually very tight), investments are made in the structure and maintenance of the Café's own equipment and utensils.
We accept PIX, cash and debit and credit cards, but PIX is always preferred because of the fees and terms of the cards.

At Condô since 2017, she has been researching, studying and experimenting with natural fermentation, collaborating as a cook and baker at various house events. Today, she runs Venda Escondida, a little door with access to the street and open to the public every Sunday with Café Caipira, a breakfast in the Condô's Garden of Delights, producing various wonders to eat.
