
Kako Guirado
Director and Technical Producer; Cultural Entrepreneur and Sound Designer; Develops and creates projects, provides infrastructure consultancy for artistic and cultural activities. He works in a wide range of areas, such as festivals, exhibitions, events, production agencies, concerts, exhibitions and shows. In 1989 he founded Usina Sonora, where he was director until 2012. He works in partnership with major institutions and artistic groups. His main work includes directing, coordinating, creating and designing sound for Companhia Teatro da Vertigem in its shows - Livro de Jó, Apocalipse, BR3, A Última Palavra (1.0 and 2.0), Kastelo, Bom Retiro 958m and O Filho (Brazil, Latin America, Europe). Teatro de Narradores - Arturo Ui, Retrato Calado, Cidade Vodú; A próxima estação - Cacá Carvalho; Repertório Shakespeare - Macbeth/ Medida por medida; Diásporas - Cia Elevador de Teatro Panorâmico; Heresia - Praça da Sé; Cia Teatro Balagan - Cabras (China).
He was the audio technical director for the Londrina International Festival for 15 consecutive years; Odin Theater VIII ISTA; consultancy and technical coordination for the Biennials of Art and Architecture at the Biennial Foundation; Mit SP (1st edition); Festival Cena Contemporânea de Brasília; Festival Guarani de Cultura e Arte - Jaraguá; Festival Musica Estranha, as well as shows and one-off jobs for companies and institutions (SESC/ MAM/ MIS/ FAD BH/ CCSP).
Pedagogical experience can be highlighted from the beginning of his training. He has taught introductory courses in independent sound design and with the São Paulo State Department of Culture - lectures, courses and workshops in event production at SENAI and Anhembi Morumbi College. In 2009 he started a social project with Colégio Max and Projeto Aprendiz, coordinating audio and lighting courses for young people.
In 2010 he started the Condô Cultural project, a center for human and socio-cultural development in Vila Anglo Brasileira - SP.
