The community composting point<\/strong> Cond\u00f4 has been operating since April 2021 and has already turned almost 14 tons of organic waste into compost.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Every Sunday you can bring your organic waste for composting and take home a seedling, as well as visiting the Garden of Delights.<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00e3o Paulo generates 6,000 tons of organic waste a day!<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

The city of S\u00e3o Paulo generates an average of 12,000 tons of household waste every day, more than half of which could be composted, i.e. more than 6,000 tons of organic waste per day.<\/p>\n

Community composting is an accessible, inexpensive and high-impact practice.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Waste management is already a Cond\u00f4 Cultural practice. In 2020 we implemented an edible garden using agroforestry principles and new compost bins. In 2021 we opened the Community Composting Point<\/strong>It receives almost 100 kg of compostables a week.<\/p>\n

The consequences of climate change are many: extinction of plants and animals, scarcity of drinking water, rising global temperatures, among many others. This means that the future of the human species depends on preserving our planet.<\/p>\n
