About the course:<\/b><\/div>\n

Ongoing ceramics laboratory for beginners and advanced students with Nadira Yanez and Hellena Kuasne, at the Cultural Condominium.<\/p>\n

Classes will focus on the development of each student's personal projects.<\/p>\n

The laboratory offers an immersion in modeling techniques for creating objects and sculptures, as well as firing and glazing processes. The activities revolve around four main axes: sculpture, drawing, body movement and contemporary art. Since 2024, artists Nadira Yanez and Hellena Kuasne have been running workshops at SESC with practical and sensory approaches. Among the highlights are: Ceramics: creating from dreams - explores oneiric narratives and their intersections with art; Creation of Sensorial Sculptures - inspired by the relational works of Lygia Clark, among other references, promotes a path of sculpture construction that explores the senses and relates to a body mapping made by each participant.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\/\/Teachers:<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nadira Yanez<\/strong> (1995 - Santiago, Chile) lives and works in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil.<\/p>\n

With a degree in Design from Senac Santo Amaro (2018), she is an artist and educator. Her practice combines materials such as wire, wool, ceramics and plaster to create objects and drawings that move between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional. Her works, marked by contrasts in texture and structure, inhabit a space of instability and constant transformation, evoking forms that always seem to be about to move and reorganize themselves. She gives workshops at Sescs and other cultural institutions, broadening the dialog between artistic practice and education. She is currently a resident at Cond\u00f4 Cultural, where she develops her artistic research and production.<\/p>\n

Hellena Kuasne<\/strong> (1995 - SP, Brazil) lives and works in S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n

Hellena is a visual artist, costume designer and educator. She has a degree in set and costume design from SP Escola de Teatro.<\/p>\n

She has been teaching ceramics, sewing, costume, drawing and sculpture workshops at SESC and other institutions since 2017.<\/div>\n
He is the creator of the agender brand Menin\u00ea Costur\u00ea, which has been sewing custom-made clothes and costumes for theater, shows and cinema for nine years.<\/div>\n
As a ceramicist and sculptor, she researches the relationship between the body and clay, its perceptions and strangeness. She was mentored by Sirlene Gianotti at Ateli\u00ea Tapir, where she learned Raku, glazing and lathe techniques.<\/div>\n
