Izabel Martinelli is a dance artist and educator with a degree in Dance from Anhembi Morumbi University (BA and BSc) and is currently deepening her studies in the Klauss Vianna Technical Specialization at PUC-SP. She began her artistic work with the group Chega de Saudade, directed by Rubens Oliveira, with whom she also worked on various projects as a producer, rehearser and dance teacher (2012-2015). She was also a member of ...Avoa! Núcleo Artístico (2016-2018), directed by Luciana Bortoletto, a group that researches dance in urban space. In 2019 she created her first solo "Estudos para se libertar", directed by Beth Bastos. As an educator, she has worked in various institutions with children and teenagers, including the N. S. Rainha da Paz Shelter Association in Jd. Fim de Semana, the Municipal School of Artistic Initiation - EMIA, and the Municipal Program of Artistic Initiation - PIÁ. She is currently dedicated to solo research, and teaches dance classes for adults using improvisation, dance and movement from somatic approaches as the basis of her theoretical and practical studies.
