Jonaya welcomes Isabel Hölzl to this meeting to talk about International Cultural Management and imagination in a pandemic.

Isabel Hölzl has been director of the Goethe-Institut Finland in Helsinki since August 2017. She studied classical and contemporary dance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and at PUC São Paulo. In Brazil she developed her artistic projects and participated in productions by artists and collectives in the city of São Paulo. As a cultural manager, she worked on international productions for various São Paulo institutions, before starting to work on the cultural programming of the Goethe-Institut São Paulo in 2011, where she executed dance and theater co-productions and developed programs on sustainability and the "Global South". In 2014, together with cultural managers Jonaya de Castro, Laura Sobral and Lorena Vicini, she published "INSPIRADOR: you can do cultural production differently". From December 2015 to July 2017, she worked as a dance consultant in the theater and dance department of the Goethe-Institut in Munich. Today, in Helsinki, she is a member of the Nordic Norm-critical Leadership network, develops a circumpolar residency program with partners in the Arctic and, with her team, seeks to articulate accessibility and social participation as a method and cultural content.
