Carmen Silva. A mother of eight from Bahia, she was a migrant who slept on the streets of São Paulo in the early 1990s and became the leader of the Movimento dos Sem-Teto do Centro. She has already taken almost 3,000 people out of substandard housing and under viaducts, promoting social inclusion and well-being at the same time.
