Salloma Salomão is a composer, educator, actor and playwright who is self-trained and socially constructed. In a tense dialogue with artistic production and hegemonic culture, he has created a body of work that stretches from the present day to the early 1980s. There have been 6 recorded CDs, 3 DVDs, texts published in magazines and printed books and digital media. He holds a PhD in History from PUC-SP, with an internship at the University of Lisbon. He projects himself as a public intellectual/artist and educator in basic and higher education, mainly in ongoing projects to train educators. He creates and disseminates research and music for theater, dance and cinema through numerous partnerships. His most recent works include the musical play Agosto na Cidade Murada (2018) and the soundtrack for the film Todos Mortos, by Caetano Gotardo and Marco Dutra - selected for the Berlin Film Festival and awarded at the Gramado Film Festival in 2020 - as well as appearances in the documentaries Dentro da minha pele by Venturi/Gomes and Deixe que digam, about Jair Rodrigues, by Rubens Rewald.
