Laura Lolli

A visual artist from Minas Gerais, she has lived and worked in São Paulo since 2022.
With a degree in Fashion Design and Architecture and Urbanism from FUMEC University (Belo Horizonte, MG), Laura has developed her research especially in painting, which involves a variety of techniques, experiments with collage, drawing, the use of mineral pigments and large-scale mural painting.

Her practice is based on observing the cycles of existence, the transience of matter and life, the perception of reality and time. In the studio, she investigates relationships between figuration and abstraction, reusing paint residues from one work to compose others, which allows for constant formal and symbolic reorganizations.

Since 2019, he has been researching paints made from mineral earth, leading the complete process - from on-site extraction to pigment formulation and application, both in his paintings and in teaching workshops.

His work has been shown in salons and group exhibitions in São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Florianópolis. In 2023, he received the Honorary Award at the Vinhedo Visual Arts Salon (SAV 2023) for his work Os fins do lado avesso (2022). That same year, he took part in an immersive muralism project in the riverside community of Urucureá (PA), collaborating with 14 Brazilian artists.
