Bia Tadema

Bia Tadema is an educator, researcher and director of Escola Schumacher Brasil. She has a Master's degree in Economics for Transition from Schumacher College in England, where she also worked as a facilitator on the Holistic Sciences Master's degree. She develops pedagogical practices that cultivate presence, sensitivity and responsibility in relationships.

Since 2019, she has been part of the Schumacher Worldwide Research in Action Community, where she became a fellow in 2025. Her research ‘Walking in dangerous territories’ investigates the educational potential of crossing socially dangerous situations - moments of tension, discomfort or rupture - as ways to reveal power structures, invisible privileges and the inherited silences that sustain inequalities.
