Isis Marks

Isis Marks, dance artist and creator of the CORPO SÃO project, worked as a Pilates instructor in the studio for almost seven years and, since 2020, has been teaching as a freelance movement educator, living in the condominium for the development of her regular classes, incorporating a hybrid approach to her practices, which integrates various influences that make up her professional path, such as the art of dance, the practice of Pilates, Yoga and studies in different aspects related to the health of the body and movement. She has a degree and a bachelor's degree in Dance from Anhembi Morumbi University (2012) and also from the Angélica Postural Gymnastics Center (CGPA Pilates), the Movement Reeducation method developed by Ivaldo Bertazzo, in Brazilian Popular Dances, from the Brincante School institute and has accumulated, in her experience as a contemporary dance artist, different experiences and studies related to somatic approaches, composition and scenic improvisation. She is the interpreter-creator of Núcleo Pausa, directed by Beth Bastos, and of Mais Companhia, directed by Diogo Granato; artists with whom she has been researching dance for many years. She is currently studying and practicing decolonial actions with a focus on the relationship with work, managing her time and creating possibilities to create more and more dialogues between everything that crosses and moves the body in the sense of experience, exchange of knowledge, autonomy and pleasure in the sense of good living. She sees herself as a mediator and proposer of a movement routine that is made up of constancy and the habit of meeting, with the aim of awakening a more sensitive and healthy body.
