Vicente Martos

Stage artist, producer and researcher. Master in Performing Arts from the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts, Department of Arts, Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. BA in Performance from the Communication of the Arts of the Body course at PUC.SP. He has taken part in performance shows and group exhibitions, including: Projeto RODA - Mostra de Artistas que Pensam o Corpo (GAG, São Paulo/SP, 2007), Mostra Convergência de Performance Arte (SESC Palmas/TO, 2014), 24 e + Segundos (Cinemateca Brasileira, São Paulo/SP 2014), Festival La Plataformance (Oficinas Culturais Oswald de Andrade, São Paulo/SP 2015). She was a member of the management and production team at Condô Cultural (2011 - 2014), an independent arts and culture venue on the west side of São Paulo based in the former premises of the São Marcos Hospital and Maternity Hospital. He was responsible for the creation and management of projects such as the Artistic Residency (a project included in the PROAC/Integrated Arts Cultural Action Program). He has worked since 2014 as an independent producer and assistant to art directors on film and set design projects in general. In 2015, he was awarded the PROAC/Artes Integradas Cultural Action Program of the State of São Paulo, for the development of the artistic residency Letters to Renato Cohen. The project resulted in the performance of the same name, which ran for seasons at Condô Cultural and Oficinas Culturais Oswald de Andrade (2015). Since 2017, he has been producing his own work in partnership with Vinicius Dantas in the project VICENTE + VINICIUS, in which they explore the unfolding of their relationship as a couple in performances, videos, photographs and prints. The duo took part in the group exhibition À NORDESTE, held at SESC 24 DE MAIO (São Paulo/SP, 2019), and performed at GIRA DANÇA (Natal/RN) and SESC AVENIDA PAULISTA (São Paulo/SP). Currently, in addition to artistic production, she is also dedicated to the elaboration and development of educational actions, such as the AUTOPUBLICATION laboratory (held in several editions of varied formats), the VIDEOPERFORMANCE course, held in two editions in the capital of São Paulo and in Campinas/SP, and also the MARECIFE performance, in partnership with Rita Cavassana. He currently lives and works between São Paulo and Praia Grande.
